Conference Scholarship

The Conference Scholarship is dedicated to aligning the First in Flight chapter with the mission of the Women in Aviation Conference - to Connect, Engage, and Inspire!

Applicants are evaluated based upon merit, career aspirations, dedication, contributions to the community, First in Flight chapter involvement, and following application directions.

The First in Flight Scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who is a current chapter leader or demonstrates potential to be a future chapter leader and been a First in Flight member for a minimum of 6 months. To be considered, applicants must either volunteer at or participate in chapter events, attend chapter meetings, and demonstrate active participation within the chapter.

All applicants must be living, working, or studying within North Carolina. Awards are paid directly to Women in Aviation International for the cost of one Conference Registration. Additional expenses such as transportation, lodging, and dining are not provided by the scholarship or chapter.

The application window will be open from December 1st to January 8.

The Conference Scholarship winner will be announced prior to February 1st.

In 2024, the First in Flight chapter is awarding TWO Conference Scholarships.
