First in Flight Scholarship

The First in Flight Chapter of Women in Aviation is offering the following scholarships during the summer of 2026:

  • $2000 Chapter-Sponsored

  • $1000 PSA Airlines Alpha Partner

The application window is open from August 1-31, 2026.

Applicants will be entered for both scholarships during the time of submission.

The First in Flight Scholarship and PSA Airlines Scholarship recipients will be announced at Girls in Aviation Day on September 19.

Applicants will be evaluated on:

  • Merit and career aspirations

  • Dedication and contributions to the community

  • Involvement with the First in Flight Chapter

  • Following application instructions

  • Additional considerations include professionalism, presentation and attention to detail (spelling, grammar, punctuation)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be living, working, or studying in North or South Carolina

  • Must be a current, active member of Women in Aviation International and the First in Flight Chapter, with local dues paid

Award Details:

  • The scholarship will be paid directly to the organization, university, college, program or flight school of your choice

  • Funds must be used within one year of acceptance
