First in Flight Scholarship

The First in Flight Scholarship is dedicated to assisting an individual in the pursuit of achieving their aviation dream and in October 2025, we are offering two (2) $1,500 scholarships to support individuals in North or South Carolina in pursuing their aviation dreams.

The application window is open from October 1-31, 2025. The First in Flight Scholarship winner will be announced at the holiday party in December.

Applicants will be evaluated on:

• Merit and career aspirations

• Dedication and contributions to the community

• Involvement with the First in Flight Chapter

• Following application instructions

• Additional considerations include professionalism, presentation and attention to detail (spelling, grammar, punctuation)

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be living, working, or studying in North or South Carolina

• Must be a current, active member of Women in Aviation International and the First in Flight Chapter, with local dues paid

Award Details:

• The scholarship will be paid directly to the organization, university, college, program or flight school of your choice

• Funds must be used within one year of acceptance
