The First in Flight Chapter organizes and hosts an annual Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) event with the aim of educating and inspiring young girls to explore the exciting world of aviation. The program is designed to introduce girls to the various opportunities available in the aviation industry and encourage them to pursue careers in this field. With a focus on adventure and discovery, this event provides a unique and immersive experience that ignites the imagination and encourages girls to dream big.

Girls in Aviation Day is a thrilling event that offers an array of activities, engaging displays, fascinating exhibits, and exciting games, along with the chance to win amazing prizes and experiences through a raffle. Each year, we collaborate with a diverse group of sponsors, vendors, organizations, and food trucks to curate a distinct and captivating experience that sets it apart from previous years.

We have partnered with the brand new, Sullenberger Aviation Museum, located at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
